This is an old school, luxurious, intentional 90 minute yoga class taught by one of the most experienced teachers in the state of Maine, Iyengar informed yet versatile in every way.
Perfect for continuing yoga students who wish to challenge their stamina, strength, and flexibility, beginners are also welcome. This class includes warm up postures, intelligent sequences, peak posture opportunites such as shoulderstand or headstand, all with a focus on breath awareness and a variety of props including the rope wall, yoga straps, barre & more.
Multiple variations of each posture, as well as precise alignment cues, coax the student to mindfully move into more challenging postures–including inversions and back bends, with an emphasis on personal choice and safety. 90 minutes offers extra time to explore postures and the practices of yoga with Melora's expertise and wise guidance.
